Who is responsible for your information

This website and the personal information described in this notice are managed by Jordan Hammond, an independent web designer and developer based in Cornwall, UK.

Information I collect

When you make an enquiry, I may collect your name, email address, the type of help you are looking for, your intended timeframe and anything you choose to include in your message.

If we work together, I may also hold project correspondence, business contact details, contracts, invoices, payment records, files and the information needed to deliver and support the work.

The website and its security services may process technical information such as an IP address, browser type, device information, timestamps and page or form activity.

How and why I use it

• To respond to enquiries and prepare a proposal because you have asked me to take steps before entering into a contract.
• To deliver and support agreed work because it is necessary to perform our contract.
• To manage records, invoices and legal obligations to comply with legal requirements and run the business properly.
• To protect the website and prevent misuse for legitimate interests in security and service reliability.
• To measure and improve the website only where an optional analytics setup has an appropriate lawful basis and any required cookie choice has been provided.

I do not sell personal information.

Who information may be shared with

Information is only shared where necessary with trusted providers that help operate the website and business, such as hosting, email, backup, security, form and professional-advice providers. The enquiry form uses Google reCAPTCHA to reduce spam and abuse, so Google may process technical information under its own terms.

I may also disclose information where required by law, to establish or defend legal rights, or as part of a legitimate business transfer. Providers are expected to protect information and use it only for the relevant service.

International processing

Some service providers may process information outside the UK. Where this happens, I take reasonable steps to use providers and safeguards recognised under UK data-protection law.

How long information is kept

Information is kept only for as long as it is reasonably needed. Enquiries that do not become projects are normally retained for up to 24 months so I can respond to follow-up conversations and understand previous contact. Project, contractual and accounting records may be kept for up to six years, or longer where the law requires it. Information that is no longer needed is deleted or securely disposed of.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to ask for access to your personal information, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, or withdrawal of consent where consent is being relied on.

Please contact me first if you have a concern so I can try to resolve it. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
