Move your site.
Keep what matters.

Wix or Squarespace to WordPress or Shopify.

A platform move should give you a better website without losing valuable pages, enquiries or the ability to update it. I help plan the move from Wix or Squarespace, choose an appropriate destination and rebuild the site around what your business needs next.

[ 01 / IS THIS FOR YOU? ]

Ready for a different setup?

  • Your Wix or Squarespace site is limiting design, content or the features you need.
  • You want to sell online and need to decide whether WordPress with WooCommerce or Shopify makes more sense.
  • You are worried about losing content, search traffic, forms or domain email during the change.

[ 02 / THE WORK ]

What is involved.

01

Audit before moving.

We inventory important pages, URLs, images, forms, integrations and search traffic. That gives us a plan for what to retain, improve, redirect or deliberately leave behind.

02

Choose the destination.

WordPress gives you a flexible content site and can support WooCommerce. Shopify is often a focused choice for a product-led store. We discuss editing, features, transaction needs, subscriptions and ongoing costs before choosing.

03

Rebuild, test and switch.

The agreed scope covers content transfer or rewrite, design and build, redirects, analytics, forms and launch checks. We test key customer journeys before changing the domain, then check indexing and enquiries after launch.

[ 03 / SELECTED WORK ]

Relevant rebuild work.

These projects show my WordPress build and content-planning work. They are not presented as Wix or Squarespace migration case studies.

[ 04 / WORKING TOGETHER ]

One person.
A clear plan.

You work directly with me, from the first conversation through to the work itself.

  1. Start with the rough version.

Tell me what you need, what is getting in the way and any deadline or budget you have in mind.

  2. Agree the scope.

We work through the requirements, responsibilities and costs. You can see what is included before deciding to go ahead.

  3. Build, review and hand over.

We agree review points and check the important journeys. Handover and any ongoing support form part of the plan.

[ 05 / BEFORE YOU ENQUIRE ]

The practical
questions.

Will I lose my Google rankings?

No one can guarantee that rankings will stay the same. We can reduce avoidable disruption by recording important URLs, retaining or improving useful content, mapping redirects, checking metadata and testing the new site before and after launch.

Can I keep my domain and email?

Usually, yes. Domain registration, DNS and email can be separate from the website platform. We identify who controls each service before launch and plan changes so email is not accidentally interrupted.

Can Wix or Squarespace content be copied automatically?

Some content can be exported or transferred, but designs and platform-specific features rarely move cleanly. We audit the actual site before deciding what can be imported, what needs rebuilding and what is worth rewriting.

Should I choose WordPress or Shopify?

It depends on whether the site is primarily content and services or primarily a store, plus the product rules, integrations, editing needs and running costs. I will explain the trade-offs before recommending a platform.

How long does a migration take?

The number of pages and products, custom features, content quality and approval process determine the timeline. We agree a launch plan and a period to check forms, tracking and redirects after the switch.

[ LET’S TALK ]

Discuss a website move.

Send your current Wix or Squarespace URL, what the new site must do and any launch deadline. I will review the moving parts and explain what needs preserving before proposing a scope.

Just exploring? That is a useful place to start, too.
